Fine art wildlife photograph capturing a wild American turkey hen (Meleagris gallopavo) sunbathing in a flowerbed in my Northern California garden.

She and her sister moved their broods of chicks onto the property this spring and they really seem to be enjoying the good life. They are destroying my gardens but (so far) I haven't had the heart to chase them away.

I'm a native coastal Californian transplanted to the foothills of the Cascades.
