Stylized Jornada Mogollon zoomorphic and geometric petroglyphs, pecked into heavily-patinated boulders at Three Rivers, are the focus of this fine art desert landscape photograph. Sandy scrub stretches from boulders decorated with fanciful creatures to the eastern horizon where the desert floor butts up against the Sierra Blanca Mountains and the boundary of the Mescalero Apache Nation.

The Jornada Mogollon people developed their distinctive style of cultural expression between 900 and 1400 A.D. This site in the Tularosa Basin of Southern New Mexico contains a concentration of over 21,000 amazing glyphs that stretch for miles across the desert!
