Description
The swayback skeleton of a sun-bleached chicken coops’s architectural lines echoes the craggy contours of the Grand Teton Range rising to the west at the edge of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
A pencil skirt of lath fencing tightly encircles this cool old structure, following the incurvated frame as it leans drunkenly inward. The remnants of this historic chicken house, on what was once the Thomas Perry homestead, dates back to the era of Mormon settlement in Jackson Hole. It will soon return to the prairie earth where bison and pronghorn once again roam free.
