Description
Fine art wildlife photograph of a Snowy Egret (Egretta thula) flying in to a eucalyptus tree rookery with nesting material in his beak. During breeding season, male egrets make many forays to gather flexible branches. When the male bird arrives at the nesting site, he passes the branch to his mate and she adds it to their nest. This image was captured at a large mixed heron rookery in Sonoma County, California.
