Fine art photograph capturing a prehistoric anthropomorphic pictograph executed in red and yellow pigments. The Archaic Period Native American painting is well-hidden in a remote canyon in Utah's back country.

This imposing Barrier Canyon style being has survived many centuries due to its location in a shallow alcove that provides a bit of protection, however the sandstone substrate surrounding the image shows significant weathering. Colonies of lichen have begun degrading some areas of pigment. Time will eventually destroy this ancient American art, if vandals don't find it first.
