This rusty beehive burner, or teepee burner, still stands at the site of the defunct Adin Mill in Modoc County, California. Sawmill burners such as these once dotted the land but they were decommissioned decades ago due to their impact on air quality, so now these relics of the logging heyday are few and far between.
